I purchased this product and was told it was also for rv use as a water line. The pirithose worked for about 3 months. I took it off my rv during the summer and recently hooked it back up and woke up to my water frozen because the hose stopped working. It cost me $120 for 25ft hose and I only received 3 months of it working. I contacted the company about the warranty and was told that if you hook an extension cord to the hose it voids the warranty. There is no way you can direct connect it to an outlet when the cord is only a couple ft long. I reside in an rv park as well as manage it and I will not refer my tenants to buying this pirithose. I would have angry tenants and this would cause me to lose tenants. I was told this hose will not freeze up to -42 degrees. It was 21 degrees here yesterday and my water was frozen and so was the hose. I know I would not run a business like this company does. I would back my product 100%, especially when a receipt is present and the hose was less than a year old. I do not recommend this hose for rv use at all.

I bought this fryer for my thanksgiving turkey, and have used it once successfully. I fried a 13 pound bird with 2 gallons of oil for 4 minutes a pound, and got a delicious, moist, and decidedly not greasy turkey. Set up took around 10 minutes, mainly to familiarize myself with the few parts, and clean up was fairly easy as the spigot on the bottom of the fryer made draining the oil pretty simple, and everything pretty much wiped clean.

Living in an urban area, where flaming mishaps are a really bad idea, I appreciate the safety of this fryer over an open vat of oil over an open flame. And plugging in is much easier than hauling propane tanks around. The outside of the fryer remained cool to touch at all times. It is obvious that a good amount of thought went into making it safe to use in an indoor environment.

Some limitations:

The fryer only holds two gallons of oil. Actually, the "max fill" line is at around 1.6 or 1.7 gallons. I added the full two gallons with no problems (with a 13 pound turkey). The less oil, and the larger the turkey, the more the oil will be cooled down when the turkey is added. This is less a problem with a propane fire - which can crank out the BTUs - than it is with an electric heating element, which produces a more modest amount of heat. So a major limitation of this fryer is that once you add the turkey, the oil will not again achieve the desired 375 degree temperature. To minimize this, I would recommend using a modest size turkey, and I also recommend allowing the turkey to come as close to room temperature as safety allows before adding it into the oil.

The fryer is labeled for indoor use only, presumably due to limited weatherproofing of electric parts. Unfortunately, frying with this much oil in your house will produce a significant greasy odor. One solution might be to use a garage or other outbuilding. I used it in my back yard, on a table with a large patio umbrella covering it. Technically, this is a violation of the labeling, but it worked for me.

The fryer has a digital timer, but for some odd reason, the timer is not connected to the heating element. So while it may beep that your food is cooked, it still keeps cooking it. It seems to me that an automatic shutoff would be worthwhile for safety.

In summary, this fryer will safely fry a turkey, producing a moist and tasty (though maybe not so crispy) bird. It is useful for those people who are uncomfortable with the safety of the standard techniques of frying a turkey. I recommend keeping the size of the turkey on the smallish side, to that the oil will stay hot during frying.

I bought this a couple days after the Dec 26th Blizzard. I am a recent transplant to the NJ shore from Texas, so this storm was a bit of a reality check. All the home improvement stores are sold out of all their blowers right now with the exception of the most expensive models from the worst brands. I wisely parked my car at the end of the drive and my wife parked in the garage before the storm. Clearing my car out with a shovel wasn't too bad but my back hurt bad enough to curse everyone who told me I really didn't need a blower when it was sunny. I was really torn between 2 stage and single - based on my property and typical snow fall single stage made sense even though I needed this thing to tackle a bigger job right now.

- Ok so to this Poulan thing. I can't say enough good things about having a amazon prime account and only having to pay $3.99 to have this overnighted. So I open the box - the oil dip stick is loose and oil is smeared on the side of it. It's not a ton of oil maybe an ounce - but still something stupid. Oh but wait there is another stupid mistake - they have a pint of 30 weight lawnmower oil in the box. Now this is great for a lawnmower in the summer time but I am not blowing snow when its 50 - 90 degrees out - So Grab a Quart of 5-30 to have on hand. Assembly is a breeze and should take no more than ten minutes for most folks and you don't need anything more than an adjustable wrench. I primed it twice and it started right up. My initial task was to clear a 40 yard long (car width) path to my garage that ranged in depth from 5 feet to 30 inches of a hard packed snow (4 days after the storm). This is asking a lot from this little machine and required that I break the path down with a shovel and feed the machine at a decent height of about a foot. I averaged about 10 yards an hour. Our driveway is too tight between houses to plow and would have been almost impossible to just shovel. I am very happy with this purchase.

For the record - I would never want a less powerful blower. This throws soft snow 40-50 feet easily and throws ice and slush a good distance too. My initial task for this thing was absurd, but it served me well. It will plow through 8-10 inches of powder like butter. I am certain if I stay on top of snow storms and clear before the snow before it gets too deep and hard - I have much easier work ahead.

Negatives - Poulan is part of the Weed Eater / McCulloch consumer product family of Husqvarna - customer service is suspect based on my research. There is a McCulloch model almost identical to this in specs and price. I had a hard time removing the gas cap - and the tank rattles around a bit. I have read reviews of ill fitting or missing parts - including the wrong oil for the engine does not inspire confidence in quality control. Amazon has a different return policy on this than other products. Although subjective, I do feel its a risk with this product which is why I am giving it 4 stars.

Pro's - most HP bang for your buck. I have not had any real negative issues in my experience . Hopefully it just keeps on trucking.

The only other thing I would add is I would opt for this model over the one with electric start. The electric start option requires an extension cord to be connected to the unit. The effort to pull start this thing was minimal.

As stated above, I live in North Central Wisconsin, with all the winter weather adventures that this entails. This little guy is great for just about anything you're going to need it for.

Now that I have an entire winter under my belt with the Snow Joe, I can honestly say that it performed well above what I ever expected from a plastic, electric unit. We got some pretty impressive snows, last winter, up to 26 inches at a time of wet and heavy snow. The fist time we got 12 inches, I expected to have to call my brother-in-law and have him lend me his gas unit. But the Snow Joe handled it. I had to take two passes to get the full 12 inches, taking about 6 inches, then backing up and getting it clean to the concrete. But compared to a shovel, or a the hassle and cost of a two stage gas unit, it was great. It even handled the packed and frozen stuff the city plow leaves in front of the curbside mailbox. It's so light that if I need to reposition it, I just pick it up and carry it to the next place. As far as cord issues, I find that this is really no more hassle than you have while vacuuming, and once you work out a system for your particular drive/sidewalk, it gets second nature. I did store the unit in the house, since it was small enough. I just put down a garbage bag, with an old towel on top, to catch the melt. By the end of the 2012/2013 winter, the snow piles in our boulevard were to tall for me to see over, at 6'1" tall, and our mailbox was accessed through a little hole we'd dug into that snow bank. The Snow Joe had thrown all of it there, including the heavy piles left by the plow. I worked it well above what the designers meant it to do, I'm sure, but it handled it. Other than an occasional scratch from the odd rock and a missing sticker, or two, it barely looks used.

We own the older version of this generator. The only difference I see is the guage. Our guage is digital & shows voltage, hertz & hours of operation. After hurricane sandy took out our power we used ours to power the sump pump as needed & run the frig & freezer. This is only a 1200 watt continuous generator & will not run lights, frig, sump pump etc. all at the same time. Sump pump & a light - yes. Frig, freezer & maybe a light - yes. The initial surg of power for a sump pump can be 1500 watts. Freezers & refrigerators cycle off & on so are not loading the generator continuously. So yes, this generator can run everything you need, just not at the same time.
