I have purchased 3 of these tam-tams over the last 10 years (different schools) and am very impressed with the sound they produce. Huge dymnamic range, marvelous overtones. We often times keep this instrument out even when it is not called for because it adds so much to the color of the band tone. Although it doesn't respond very quickly, needing plenty of warm-up, the resulting tones are the best I've heard. (Supplied mallet is a joke though)

Yairi CY140 Classical Guitar with Brazilian Rosewood (Standard) Review

I bought an Alvarez Yairi CY140 directly from Spencer's Music Room about a year ago. This is the same company that is offering this one. I live in the same town in Kansas where Spencer's is located (a suburb of Kansas City, MO). I have been extremely pleased with the quality of sound and workmanship in this guitar. It is beautiful. I am still working to get my ability to a point where I am worthy of a guitar this good.

I have been in the store several times to have new strings put on it and to have work done to my other guitar, a steel string acoustic. I have always found them to be knowledgeable, fair and reputable. I say these things because I would find it hard to buy a $1500 guitar over the internet. I hope this might help put your mind at ease when making such a purchase.

Yamaha A1R Acoustic Electric Guitar Review

This guitar plays every bit as easy as any Taylor out there and sounds almost like one, too. I perform professionally and needed a guitar that was a little less sensitive to climatic conditions. Performing outside was killing my all solid wood guitars and this seemed like the answer. I took a gamble, in that I like the action on the Taylor guitars, and ordered this one. Rosewood laminate body like the Taylor 200 guitars with built in pickup. When I got it and started playing it I knew this was a great guitar and what I was looking for. It sounds so much and feels so much like a Taylor I could not believe it. The built in tuner ,a real plus and hard shell case that is not found on the 200 series Taylors. If you want a quality gigging acoustic this is hard to beat!
Do yourself a favor and try one and compare it to the more expensive Taylor and see what I mean.

Yamaha APX500II Guitar STAGE BUNDLE w/ Hard Case, Capo & Strap Review

The guitar has a beautiful sound, but I would recommend going to a guitar shop first and playing the guitars you like before ordering on line that way you know if you like the sound or not. I played this guitar many times and other guitars before making up my mind to get it. the bundle was a great deal. The hard case itself makes the price worth it since the guitar itself is 300 bucks without a hard case. The strings that come on it are awesome strings and it comes with a extras. the tuner words great and what you see is what you get. The strap isn't the greatest but it doesn't cost much to replace it with one that you like. the capo works and does what it is supposed to do and the picks are of a thick gauge, so if you use something lighter you will have to get them, but really picks aren't that much so you are fine. The action on the guitar is low but not to low to were you will get any buzzing or extra noise. I would recommend this product.
