I love this guitar with all my heart. Its just so incredible. I love the sound quality and how the guitar is designed. This guitar is well worth the money.
If you want a good quality instrument that is economical then buy this brand you won't regret it. I've been playing the electric guitar for about 6 years now and when I decided to play classical music I needed something economical. This guitar was it. I remember seeing it as I was in the pawn shop. Brand new as soon as I saw it I knew it was meant for me. Once I strummed it I fell in love with it. This guitar holds a tune really well. You won't regret buying it. Since I'm now a serious student of classical guitar I plan on putting this brand on the map. Stagg needs to be recognized for the quality they bring to this instrument.

This is the best china cymbal I've heard in years, it's trashy yet versatile, and has a nice amount of wash and decay unlike some chinas that have very little decay. It has an excellent blend of trashy and clean tones, without being too overbearing. I can see this cymbal being used for all kinds of musical situations, it isn't very limited in its potential. However, it does feel quite light and thin, I made sure to buy a warranty with it.

As soon as I tried this cymbal out in person, I loved the crisp tone the bow produced and the dry but sweet cut of the raw bell. It's a bit drier than the usual ride, as the name implies, but not so much that it limits what musical situations it can be applied to. It's an all around great ride with a slightly dry ping and fat, piercing bell. The body of it is definitely too thick to be considered crashable, but I don't mind that. The bow is very responsive and full of life, even with the dryness there is plenty of overtones and wash. I think this can easily compete with Sabian's raw bell rides and Zildjian K's, try one for yourself if you have the chance!

This is a high quality cymbal...nice bright tone and worth the price for sure. I have had less expensive cymbals and now understand the difference. I will look to by more cymbas of this Stagg line. This cymbal is capable of producing so many voices from different locations...it resonates very well. Some may not like it's sustain, but i prefer this. The bell is excellent. There is a different texture and sound around the rim of the cymbal that is seen in pictures. I bought this for little more than an entry level cymbal and frankly my other cymbals have got to go now...they are simply a joke compared to this. The first night I used it I almost forgot the rest of my set...awesome.

Amazon had this on sale, and I like little guitars for travel, practice, and for my kid to use, so I took the bait.

First, the good news:

It works!

The nut width is about 1.65", which is great for an adult as well as a kid.
The scale length is a bit over 21", which means very slinky tension. Easy fretting for a kid, easy bends for everyone.
It's solidly built, and I love the neck. It appears to be maple. No idea what the fretboard is made from, but it seems nice. Definitely not a plastic toy.

Now, the bad news:

Made in China (or someplace with a similar alphabet). Eh, it is what it is.
Fairly cheap Chinese tuners, but they seem to work well and the buttons are actually nice. I don't love the cheap sheet metal plates, though.
Sharp fret ends. Not the end of the world if you have a fret file.
The speaker works, but it's not hi-fi by any means. It sounds like an old AM radio, but what were you expecting, right?

But the worst thing about this guitar is the intonation and the complete lack of intonation adjustment. I may try to experiment with adding material to the bridge to change the intonation, but in the meantime, there's just about no way to play this guitar without it sounding out of tune. This will annoy some people more than others. I can probably live with it for practice and travel.

Bottom-line: it won't replace a REAL guitar, but it's not bad for the intended purpose -- learning, travel, practice, goofing off. Much better than a plastic toy.

9/13/2013 update: I replaced the bridge with a hardtail (65mm wide), and now I can control intonation. This $7 replacement bridge helped a ton! It plays in tune now! Heavier gauge strings (I plan to try 11's) might also help by reducing the amount of unintentional bending when fretting.
