I have tried many stools and chairs to use with double/upright bass. Either too low, too high, or seat was not comfortable enough. This has turned out to be the most comfortable bass stool I have ever used. It is both height adjustable and it also folds and take a second to unfold. I do not use the back at all. The foot rest is kind of high, but, with the height adjustment, I can now play with both feet on the ground. Ordering another one here to keep in my vehicle. I use a bungee cord to keep it folded.
