Yep. It has pretty much every effect you could want from delays, reverb, voice corrections, distortions, ...you name it. Over 100 high quality processors and over 250 component plug-ins to be more precise - everything Waves has to offer. I visited a local company that puts on trade show presentations and the engineer was proudly showing off his latest acquisition (yes, the Mercury). I guess it is a bit like the holy grail of sound editing plug-in packages. He ran through quite a bit of them and I have to say I was impressed.

The current $10K plus price tag may put it out of reach for most home dabblers, but If you want the very best I guess you have to pay for it.

Product Description

The Medusa Power Series is designed specifically for use with mixing boards that incorporate built-in power amplifiers. Each Power Medusa is constructed of a heavy-duty steel stage box with female XLR inputs, 14 TRS returns, and four 14 speaker jacks. Whirlwind Power Series multipair cable is a cable within a cable - the outer layer contains audio pairs surrounding an inner core of 2 pairs of 14 ga. wire that has its own overall foil shield and jacket. Each of the two speaker lines is terminated with 2 paralleled 14 jacks on the box. A heavy-duty wire mesh strain relief secures the multipair cable to the box and a wire mesh hanger grip is provided at the fanout.

This pedal can do both, and it does both effectively. The low gain boost really grits up your tone like a good low gain tube amp should. You can keep it on all night long to really beef up your clean tones, or just punch it when you need something extra. The right side of the pedal is the Fuzz Channel, and has some serious amounts of gain and an amp styled EQ for complete control over the contours of the fuzz. The Boost Channel drives the Fuzz Channel, and dynamically interacts its overdrive.

Simply put, this is one of the best fuzz/distortion/overdrive boxes currently on the market. And that's saying a lot considering how many are out there! The rationale behind this bold evaluation is due to the versatility that the 3-band EQ allows. Anything from a "Face" to a "Muff" to that elusive "60's Hippie/Spaghetti Western" thing... this box really gets you there! The "Boost/OD" section is positioned before the fuzz circuit so it can be used to give your Strat or Tele more muscle, or to jack up the gain and sustain for a hot lead tone. Unfortunately, I have deduct one star because of the tiny Z-Vex style box. This might work fine for little people
with little feet that don't move around much on stage, but for us half-drunk, boot-wearin' bashers, it's just not practical. But it's still a killer box. Buy it ~
