Product Description
Besides their normal MIDI messages, these guitars also send out SysEx for each fret pressed and released. This allows us to create our own performance modes not originally found in the EZ-*G instruments. Current manufacture, has wood/plastic body, plastic neck, built in speaker, pushbutton strings, volume control, on/off switch, tremolo bar, multi-special effects, downloadable songs from Yamaha website available. Accessories include guitar strap, pick, AC adapter, instrument to amplifier cord, midi/mini input/output cord, and assorted instruction material with guitar cord chart. Sound like one of the Yamaha type organs with special effects, only in guitar form. When using it with the built in speaker its not really to loud. Plugged into an amp it sounds better but distorts easily with volume increase.Yamaha EZ-EG Digital Guitar Review
As an Analog Audio Instrument, this has a stereo 1/8th inch jack for sending to some amplifier. The 20 sounds included are horrid. Forget that, who is gonna use those? Note the MIDI connectors on the bottom, plug this into an M-Audio Controller for garageband, and any of the keyboards or other software instruments are yours to command. Also works with Cakewalk Sonar and Pro Tools. Plug it into any Midi Syntrh, and you can use this rather than a Keyboard Controller. My only complaint, is that the neck stops at the 12th fret, which is where a lot of guitar players reside. But aside from that small thing, this is an EXCELLENT Midi guitar, and the body baing made from REAL Wood, makes it mroe of a quiality instrument.
They do not make these anymore, so get em where ya can.
