Great tube... but is too tall for Mesa Boogie Strategy 500. The Ruby 6550A is taller than the standard 6550 tubes and as such do not allow for use inside the 1980's Mesa Boogie Strategy 500 amp. If you have this amp and still want to use the Ruby 6550A tube you will have to keep your metal chassis lid off of your amp... otherwise I would recommend the stubbier standard 6550 tubes.
