Squier by Fender Vintage Modified Tele SSH, Black Review

My wife gave me this guitar for Xmas 2011. But I knew "right outta the gate", this would not continue to be a "stock" guitar. This guitar has some AMAZING potential to be modified...and that's what I did: Seymour Duncan STK-T3B (Tele Bridge), STK-S2 (Strat Middle), SM-1N (Mini Humbucker) pickups. I also added Sperzel Tuners & a 6 saddle Fender Bridge. I ordered a Brent Mason styled 3 knob control plate as well.From Warmouth I ordered a MOP Pickguard. Then I installed a bone nut. This is now a professional grade Telecaster. The only problem with the stock guitar is cheap parts: weak pickups, plastic nut and marginal tuners. I spent about $500 & turned this into an amazingly, upgraded professional Telecaster. The only thing I still don't like about this guitar is the fact it says "Squier" on the headstock.
Besides that this guitar now sounds AND plays like a Fender Custom Shop guitar.
Buy this guitar, do the upgrades as I did, and prepare to be blown away !
