The pack consist in Squier Strat Guitar with tremolo, the Squier Sp-10 Amp, 3 picks, cable, stand, gig bag, guitar strap,a Squier tuner and an instructional DVD. The guitar was made in China and it has a good finish with three single coils pickups, pickups selector (5 selections: Neck pickup, neck and middle pickup, middle pickup, middle and bridge pickup and bridge pickup), three controls: Volume, tone 1 (to upper pickup) and tone 2 (to middle pickup). The bridge pickup doesn't have tone control. The guitar is a typical "strat" guitar with good sound (very good but never like an American Fender) equipped with Fender strings (250L Model). In order to use the total potential of the guitar, you must choose the pickup selector position and the tone and volume level. The amplifier is a 10Watt Squier amp with three controls: Volume, treble and bass and the overdrive switch. The overdrive generates the distortion and you must try what is the best position of the pickup selector in order to achieve the best distortion sound. The tuner is very useful to electric guitar and bass but you can use with an acoustic guitar too. In comparison with a Fender electronic tuner is very similar. The instructional DVD is basic but if you have never played a guitar it is perfect, with indication of basic and power chords and exercises. In comparison with other guitars of the same level, the Squier Strat guitar is very strong. If you are a beginner player or you want to practice in the office or house, this pack is powerful.
