Product Description
The Yamaha YBL-620G Bass Trombone has a mouth pipe featuring special acoustic designs allowing for precise intonation and greater blowing control. The chrome-plated inner slide is very durable and has a quick, sensitive response. The one-piece, drawn, nickel silver outer slide maintains an accurate diameter throughout its length, and this type of construction ensures air tightness, smooth action, and offers exceptional durability and improved response. Specially designed, one-piece, inner slide stockings guarantee airtight slide construction, and offer smoother slide action and better alignment, even in the extended 6th and 7th positions. Hand-lapping slides ensure a perfect fit and seal between the slide parts. Such a perfect fit helps to achieve smooth airflow and smooth action and improve the response and intonation of the instrument. The YBL-620G has two hand-lapped large rotary valves to ensure less resistance and quicker response in the "F" section. Thumb and forefinger setup is durable and identical to higher priced models. The pressure formed tubing is perfectly rounded and results in less turbulence and a smoother airflow, thus allowing for an excellent scale and reduced resistance. A 9 " diameter gold brass bell offers a warm sound with superior focus when compared to larger bells. A high-energy laser fuses the brass together for a virtually seamless bell, which allows continuous even vibrations. This trombone comes complete with a mouthpiece and case.Yamaha YBL620G Professional Bass Trombone Review
I played bass trombone in my high school jazz band and this is the trombone I used. It is a wonderful trombone and I never had any problems with it. The slide is very smooth even after not being played over the summer. The second trigger is adjustable for those of us with smaller hands. It gives off a nice tone in the low ranges and sounds only slightly pinched when using both triggers. This trombone is slightly larger than a standard f attachment trombone with the bell being especially larger allowing for better tonality on the low notes. I much prefer this trombone to my own Bach f attachment which has had so many maintenance issues unlike this trombone which is still in immaculate condition despite being a school instrument. A great sturdy trombone with nice tone, I highly recommend it to any bass trombonist. Most of the consumer Reviews tell that the "Yamaha YBL620G Professional Bass Trombone" are high quality item.
