The effects are very good quality, with lots of variability, and the unit is QUIET; I have recorded using this box, and I cannot detect any hiss or other noise coming from it. Computer plugin effects create more noise than this thing by far. A digital delay of the quality of the one included in the Zoom A2 cost far more than the price of the A2, and it's got 2 of them, usable simultaneously and individually programmable. Along with that, there are very good reverbs, all the various modulation effects, microphone simulation/modeling, and much more, and all in stereo.
