This is a long review, but it's packed with useful information. Please read the whole thing to see just how good this guitar actually is. You owe to yourself to find out as much as you can about something before you buy it. I've been playing since I was in the second grade, gigging and performing for years, took 13+ years of private lessons and have been teaching for about a year now. I know my stuff and the following is just about everything I'd tell a friend, family member, or student looking for a Les Paul.

If I could give this guitar 10 stars I would. It's quality is beyond the star rating system. I got mine from the music shop I teach at for about $350 and this little number sings. It looks, feels, plays, breathes, and most importantly sounds just like a Gibson Les Paul. Yes, a Gibson... not an Epiphone or some God awful LP rip-off. The quality far surpasses that of any high or low end Epiphone model. It is just as good as its outrageously priced Gibson counterpart, if not better, and before all you hardcore Gibson LP fans start accusing me of blasphemy, give me a chance to explain: The reason I say there's a possibility of it being better than the real deal is the price. Even at $500 this guitar is an absolute steal. Everything is perfect. I've seen, played, heard, owned, bought, and sold many guitars in my life and this one simply cannot be beat. I mod most of my guitars. The first thing to go is almost always the tuners and then if I feel like it's worth it I'll upgrade the hardware and pickups. Everything on this LP is going to remain STOCK. It's that good.

I've been told that no guitar is perfect, though for whatever reason I kept on searching for what everyone has told me is impossible to find. I'm as picky as they come with an ear that can and most certainly will pick up on the slightest imperfection, making even a very fine guitar difficult to enjoy. The luthiers at SVK didn't miss a single detail putting this Les Paul copy together and they've created something that has fooled even my over-sensitive and finicky ears. If it's not perfect it's pretty darn close; close enough for me not to hear, feel, or see ANYTHING that would keep me from enjoying such a beautifully crafted instrument.

You may be thinking I got lucky buying a "cheap" guitar and finding a treasure. As far as I can tell, you couldn't be more wrong in thinking that. I've played their hollow body, their 335 clone, and their Strat knock-off. I literally pushed the whammy bar on the Strat to the breaking point and it remained in tune, structurally sound, and amazing. These guitars kick serious tail and take no prisoners. I would and probably will buy their Telecaster if it meets my high standards. I'm no music snob and I don't care much for spending more on the name than on the guitar that came with it. That being said this fits the bill better than anything I've ever come across. If you want an Les Paul and don't have enough money, or you're not into big business, or you feel the same way I do about Gibson's declining quality and commitment to their customers, then don't pass this up. God only knows how much longer these things will be on the market and that iconic Les Paul sound that grabs you by the balls and commands your respect, your time, and your ears NEVER COMES THIS CHEAP.
