I love this guitar! As a guitar player for the last 20 years I've owned Washburn, Yamaha, Takamine and Alvarez 6 and 12 string guitars. The Takamine GD51-CE has a great balanced sound. My previous acoustic was a Yamaha FG700s which lacked the punch in the bass end that the rosewood back and sides from the Takamine provides. The action was a hair over 2/32" out of the box. I played many different guitars before choosing this guitar, I knew from the first few chords I played on this guitar that this was the one! The binding and rosette finish the guitar off perfectly. I've had it plugged in, it sound great through the TP-4TD pre-amp system too. Also onboard is a tuner which works great. The only issue with this guitar is availability. Online there are only a few places to order this, I managed to play it at a local shop, The Guitar Factory and bought it from there.
