The new STE-15-A Road Tour Series 250 watt Powered Speaker offers the biggest bang for the buck in powered speaker performance. These cabinets feature the same rugged high performance power sections as our more expensive G2-series cabinets and in addition will power an additional unpowered cabinet through the panel mounted Speak on twist lock powered outlet. More than just a powered speaker, the STE-15-A can be used as a self contained PA system by itself! The back panel features 2 completely independent channels and allows for the use of up to 3 separate inputs. Channel 1 features a XLR pre-amplified microphone input allowing you to plug a single microphone in directly and use it for vocals, Channel 2 features a combo XLR microphone/ 1/4" guitar cable input plus dual RCA inputs in addition allowing you to use of any pre-amplified guitar, keyboard or a computer or MP3 device. So much good stuff to say about theses. I think they are a great buy if you can get them at a good price,heck even at the set price. Only draw back is the power compared to whats out theses days. I'm sure most people rather more bang for their buck. Still if your not looking to blow the crowed away with crazy loud sound of todays standard get theses. You won't be dissappoint to say the least. Esp if you an up and coming dj or musician that does small gigs and just wants a good sounding realible speaker. I would high recommend theses to those people. I think they can do big events with the right toning and if you have a subwoofer,but they require a lot of juice to get them going so you would really have to match them with the right equipment. Still alone they are fine for med to small events,they sound great rock solid construction,all wood so the bass is adequate if not better than most plastic boxes. Now will these beat qsc,and other high level stuff probably not the new stuff that's came out in 2012 to now,but to anything made in 2010 they are just as good if not better. But again as you know the newer the stuff the more $ and if your on a budget or low on funds get theses they will do the job.

Just word of advice keep the line level on the back at 12 o'clock and turn the power knob on the back all the way and power it with your mixer till you hear them getting a little harsh. That's what I do and they sound great till that point loud and clear and won't clip. IF you increase the line knob and the power knob it will damage your speaker and the limit light will flicker. I know because I damaged a pair and had to use that 5 year warranty. Which btw was better than most top level warranties. I called up shs audio spoke to a service specialist they gave me a service # i shipped em the speaker less than a week I got a new one. Used em recently the right way in a 4 hr gig and they did the job no questions sounded good and loud and clear and the amp wasn't warm at all. As seldom is the case with other high end equipment.

Lastly theses I would recommend than the 12's to professional's whether dj's or musician to karaoke shops. Theses would do the trick alone. The 12's are more for coffee shops to house parties gigs,unless you always have a sub around to cover the low ends and make up for the lack of power. Still either are great sounding speakers for the price,but I rather the 15's. Don't let the name discourage you theses are good speakers and better than mackie thumps or any med level speakers. Oh I didn't mention the passive speaker feature theses offer,which is great to add more sound without the trouble of carrying and amp. I've yet to use it,but plan 1 day,but if its like the rest of the speaker i'm sure it will work great.
