I have played horn for over 40 years. I have always owned a double F/Bb horn. I thought it would be fun to try out a single Bb horn, but without spending a lot of money. This little horn is lightweight, and has a big sound. The leadpipe on this horn is bigger than most beginner horns have, not at all stuffy. I think a beginner would have a better time with this than a lot of single F horns. Not sure where it is made, I suspect China. No name on the horn. It also has a trigger valve which changes the pitch to A as a stopping valve. Not too many beginners will use it, but it is a nice feature.
