I've gone through quite a few heads over the years, but I've held onto this one. For me, it's really like a hybrid of a Marshall JCM800 and an Orange Rockerverb with that signature, rich VOX chime (very close to the $2k Badcat Hotcat honestly). Bell like highs and thundering lows, but it really shines in the mid-range. And talk about High Gain and saturation! Most folks are really surprised when they hear it. An old bandmate picked up one, and after hearing it I immediately started looking for one as well and never looked back. It'll also tighten up pretty well, but I'd recommend running it in stereo with 6L6 driven amp like a Mesa Mark IV if you're doing really tight, fast runs.

The clean channel does break up quicker than a regular VOX AC15/30. But the amp more than makes up for that with a lush 3D sound, especially in the midrange on both clean and dirty channels. A different animal that the regular VOX AC line, but worth checking out.
