I've owned a few amps, randall tube half stack, peavey valve king half stack, peavey valve king 112, some old solid state crates and fenders, and a peavey vypyr 60.

This by far, is the best amp i have owned and the only one I use. The cleans are great and sound fantastic when plugging my Taylor 310ce in it. For electric you can go from just a tad of distortion to a bunch of crunch which is suitable for all but maybe the heaviest death metal songs. I play a Schecter Black Jack with seymour duncans in it and it sound amazing. This amp sounds so good that I'm considering returning the zoom G5 multi-effects pedal I just bought because none of the amp models compare to how amazing this thing sounds on it's own. I've been search high and low for an amp that covers it all and sounds great playing an acoustic through it, a little blues, classic rock, and modern rock and his amp does it all. Waaaay underpriced if you ask me. Make sure you have strong back as this thing is heavy! Plenty of volume and distortion holds well at higher volumes. Gigged it for the first time last week and worked perfectly.

I had not every tried VHT before as I had always stuck to more mainstream brands but I'm glad I gave this one a try. Came with a solid foot switch.
